Wallets have become as multifunctional as phones themselves. In the past, they just held cash and coins. Then they made space for cards, then gradually some wallets added slots for EDC like keys, then someone built a tracking device to fit into your wallet, then finally someone managed to magnetically attach them to your phone. Atlas takes that a step forward by giving your wallet a healthy dose of extra features. The Atlas measures a respectable 15mm, which is quite impressive considering it’s a bifold wallet (and mine’s definitely twice as thick). Snap it onto the back of your phone, and it sits there like a MagSafe card holder, with space for not just cards on the back, but inside too. Open it the way you’d open a bifold wallet, and you see enough storage space for 4 cards on the inside, with slots for 2 extra cards on the outside, bringing the total up to 6 cards.
The bifold comes with a friction hinge between both flaps, which means it holds its shape/angle when opened. You can open it at any angle between 0° and 180°, and the Atlas sticks, making it a perfect kickstand too. You don’t need to prop your phone up against a coffee cup or the side of your laptop anymore; your wallet does it for you.
