Norwegian artist Trygve Skogrand, residing on the edge of a vast forest in central Norway, presents a series of small paintings as simple, philosophical explorations about life.
Through his art, Skogrand finds immense joy in expressing the truths of being human with the simplest brushstrokes—a splash, a line, a touch of color—conveying emotions such as love, hope, and the feeling of being different, lonely, or afraid.
Throughout his artistic journey, Skogrand has explored many creative forms: designing glassware, illustrating and writing children’s books, creating book covers, and developing large-scale art projects through intricate digital photo collages. His deeply philosophical nature drives him to seek meaning and connections, and this personal quest is reflected in his artwork. While he hopes that his works offer moments of reflection or inspiration to others, Skogrand acknowledges that the creative process has enriched him the most.
