Rooted in Expertise, Blooming with Insight
A brand identity system is a structured and cohesive framework that defines how a brand presents itself across various touchpoints. It includes visual, verbal, and experiential elements that ensure consistency and recognition.
A well-executed brand identity system creates recognition, trust, and differentiation in the market, through visual and verbal identity, brand guidelines, attention to execution, and a focus on outreach, including digital and social, advertising, environmental design, and print touchpoints.
Our 2025 jury for the Brand Identity System category represents leading voices in brand-building who bring some serious chops. They are strategists, visionaries, educators, and artists. Each of our jurors understands how to nurture a brand to grow an identity that thrives.
Hillel Hurwitz
Hillel Hurwitz is the founder and CEO of Bald, a brand-building creative agency dedicated to helping brands grow. With over 20 years of experience in marketing and branding, Hurwitz has worked with partners that include Verizon, KPMG, Herr’s, and MGA.
A former global CMO and award-winning brand strategist, Hurwitz studied branding at New York City’s School of Visual Arts, where he earned a Master’s in Branding and received the Paula Rhodes Award for Exceptional Achievement. He later expanded his expertise at Harvard University’s brand strategy program.
I am excited about the democratization of strategic branding for brands of all sizes. Brand strategy has been left to the bigger brands for too long. With brand strategy now firmly part of our cultural zeitgeist, and with more practitioners and new agencies offering unique approaches, branding has become more accessible for all kinds of brands.

What excites me most is exploring new processes and approaches to creating exceptional design work. How can we protect our teams, maintain a healthy work-life balance, and lead with care and empathy—while still producing groundbreaking, impactful results?

Shayla Hunter

Her illustration work has also been published in Citizen magazine.
I get excited about the opportunity to create a new relationship with an audience. Perhaps an audience felt overlooked and not seen or heard previously—now there’s an opportunity for a new connection. I believe relationships are always evolving, as is the ways we communicate with one another. So thinking about that new connection is exciting.
