Avatr Vision Xpectra is a Limousine-Inspired EV that Outshines the Phantom

Cars powered by electric or hybrid powertrains are the way to go for the future. Perhaps the perfect opportunity for brands to superimpose the futuristic design with the eco-friendly aesthetic in their concept designs. Mercedes-Benz took the bold step with the Vision AVTR paving way for other contraptions like the one by Lazzarini Design Studio and Alfa Romeo  . Now Avatr, a Chinese automotive manufacturer, wants to take the swanky concept car designs beyond the sedans, hatchbacks, and coupes. Designed in collaboration with Changan, CATL, and Huawei, the EV is right at the cusp of cutting-edge tech.

They showcased the Vision Xpectra at the 2025 Munich Motor Show, and unsurprisingly, it was a showstopper. The reason, well, the concept car is an elongated, comfort-laden EV meant to be chauffeur-driven. Clearly, the concept is targeted towards the elite class who don’t want to burn unnecessarily on a Rolls-Royce. Talking of which, the Vision Xpectra is longer than the Phantom. The car comes with an emotional intelligence feature that illuminates the body pieces softly to greet the driver.

Designer: Avatr

Measuring 19 feet long, it has a wheelbase spanning 3,450 mm, a width of 2,132 mm, and a low height of 1,405 mm. Those dimensions imply a very sports ride experience, which is complemented by the exterior design honed by the panoramic glass roof that extends the whole way back. The car is designed by Nader Faghihzadeh in Munich to be tough while retaining the flexibility of the body panels. The flowing silhouette leading to the sculpted fenders is complemented by the large alloy wheels that bring an element of sexy persona. On the front, the split LED headlights run along the bumper’s profile and then merge into the lower end. Another set of headlights runs over and along the hood and the fenders. The overall design language is dubbed “The Energy Force,” which redefined clear lines and power shapes.

The interior of the limousine-inspired concept is as swanky as you would expect. The suicide doors open up to reveal the spacious cabin, which is a lounge-like space for the most luxurious travel on wheels. That luxury element is present in the upholstered, rich leather seats done in straw marquetry. The transparent inflatable cushions made out of velvet have ambient lights that sync with your mood. The dashboard and the front console are flush with transparent displays that seem to levitate. There are lamella sculptures on the doors that flow into the interior, most evident when the door is opened or closed.

Central to the visual aesthetics is the Vortex AI assistant that interacts using light and motion. Another touch-controlled control unit dubbed Cortex is positioned on the central console to give the riders full control of this beautiful machine in motion. The opulence is matched by the furniture, champagne glasses, and carry-ons for an altogether different experience. There is no word about the specifications or the release timeline of the Vision Xpectra, but the automaker has hinted about the 17-model lineup of the EV by 2030.
