This Deskterior Set Has a Sun Lamp, Wave Holder, and Sandcastle Bank

Workspaces have become monotonous landscapes of black keyboards, white monitors, and gray storage bins. Most desk accessories prioritize pure function, leaving little room for visual interest or emotional connection. The result is an environment that feels more like a holding cell than a place where creative work happens. Even well-designed offices can feel draining when everything looks the same.

Cove is a concept desk set that addresses this visual fatigue by bringing vacation elements to the desk. The collection includes three pieces: a lamp shaped like a rising sun, a card holder that mimics ocean waves, and a coin bank styled like a sandcastle. Together, they create a small ecosystem of beach-inspired objects. The design aims to make desks feel less utilitarian and more personal.

The lamp stands out with its glowing circular face and curved orange support. The circular head can slide up and down the arc, allowing users to adjust its position throughout the day. Raising it in the morning signals the start of work. Lowering it in the evening creates a visual boundary between professional and personal time. The interaction turns a simple gesture into a daily ritual.

The cardholder borrows its shape from rolling waves. Layered teal forms create natural slots for business cards, notes, and reminders. The design adds vertical movement to what’s usually a flat surface. A clip attachment on the front holds to-do lists in place. The wave structure organizes desk items while maintaining the collection’s coastal theme without being too literal about it.

The coin bank looks like a compact sandcastle with smooth edges and soft curves. A small flag sits on top and slides up and down for added interaction. The lid pops off easily thanks to silicone stoppers on the underside. Users can drop spare change throughout the week and access it when needed. The tactile elements encourage engagement beyond just looking at it.

Color ties the three pieces together. Warm orange appears on the lamp and flag. Bright teal covers the wave holder. Neutral sand tones define the coin bank. The palette creates visual harmony without forcing exact matches. These colors stand out against typical office equipment, making the set easy to spot even on crowded desks.

Packaging continues the vacation concept with clean, minimal boxes. Each container uses color blocking and simple illustrations. Product names and numbers appear clearly on the front. The boxes feel like small gifts rather than standard product packaging. Everything reinforces the idea that these objects belong together as a coordinated system.

The Cove collection shows how desk accessories can do more than organize supplies. Small design choices create moments of visual relief throughout the workday. The vacation theme reminds users that work environments don’t have to default to bland neutrals and sharp edges. Sometimes, bringing a bit of playfulness to functional objects makes a difference.
