Maira’s art, writing and attitude are, for me, soothing, calming and comforting. It’s no wonder that in this disturbing period of hot wars flaring up like all-consuming wildfires, we need comforting things, including art and design, to save us from madness. Maira, who spoke with my SVA MFA Design students last week, excels at delivering exactly that. And this video is just the sedative I need this week.
