The National Student Show and Conference runs April 9–11, 2026, in Dallas. The event brings together visual communications students, educators, and professionals for three unforgettable days of portfolio reviews, studio tours, workshops, presentations, networking, and more. Students submit their design, advertising, UX, illustration, and photography work for a chance to win their share of more than $20,000 in prize money.
The theme for this year’s conference is “Connections,” an exploration of the unique journeys that define creative careers, and a celebration of the relationships that make them possible. Keynote speakers—including designer/multimedia artist/author Kelli Anderson, designer/coder/educator/founder Talia Cotton, designer/CD/co-founder Matt George, and ECD/multidisciplinary creative Rich Tu—will share stories about the moments and connections that have dotted their own career paths.
Now in its 21st year, the National Student Show and Conference is the largest dedicated student creative conference and competition—drawing hundreds of students and educators from dozens of visual communications programs across the US.
NSSC is made possible by the DSVC Foundation, a 501(c)(3) non-profit that provides financial aid through scholarships for high school and college students interested in taking the next steps toward a career in visual arts.
