Amazing Atmospheric 3D Architecture And Melancholic Landscapes of Josh Brockett

Josh Brockett is a freelance 3D digital artist and generalist based in Metro Detroit, Michigan. He specializes in concept art, album covers, and visualizers, but is most widely recognized for his “Everydays” project.

Brockett primarily works with Cinema 4D and Octane Render. He heavily credits the legendary digital artist Beeple (Mike Winkelmann) as his main inspiration for starting his “Everydays” journey, adopting Beeple’s philosophy of treating daily artworks as fast, imperfect “sketches” to capture a general vibe rather than agonizing over perfect details.

His visual style frequently explores atmospheric, slightly melancholic environments with a strong emphasis on lighting and texture. His daily renders often feature desolate urban landscapes (“chimney smoke,” “vacancy lights”), abstract architectural spaces (“blue pillars,” “blue walls”), and moody night scenes. This consistent output and distinct aesthetic even led him to win a “Digital Art Death Match” hosted by Beeple in 2024.
