Mangini Group announces the opening of its new showroom in Manhattan, marking a strategic step in strengthening its presence in the United States through NICOS U.S.A., a platform that integrates Italian manufacturing expertise with the needs of the American market.
The inauguration event was attended by institutional representatives and business leaders, including Italy’s Deputy Permanent Representative to the United Nations in New York, Gianluca Greco; Italy’s Deputy Consul General in New York, Laura Pirino; and Hon. Erica Mazzetti, Member of the Italian Parliament and President of the parliamentary intergroup Progetto Italia (public works, construction, and urban planning), along with company leadership represented by President Massimo Mangini and Vice President of Business Development Mauro Cottafavi.
The opening of the showroom represents far more than a new commercial presence: it reflects a long-term industrial strategy aimed at establishing Mangini as a structured player in the U.S. market, rather than simply an exporter of products.
Founded in Putignano, Mangini Group has developed over more than seventy years an industrial model based on advanced modular systems, combining steel, aluminum, glass, and wood into high-performance integrated solutions. This approach enables the company to bring together efficiency, scalability, and design quality—elements that are increasingly central in complex international projects.
The New York showroom makes this evolution tangible, hosting real-world applications ranging from clean rooms for the pharmaceutical and battery sectors to hospital spaces designed with comfort and perception in mind, up to a full-scale operating room. An ecosystem that demonstrates how value lies not in the individual product, but in the ability to deliver integrated systems.
Mangini’s contribution to the healthcare sector is particularly strategic. In a context marked by an aging population and growing pressure on healthcare systems, the modular approach makes it possible to develop more flexible, efficient, and people-centered infrastructures. The design of human-centered environments thus becomes a key factor in improving both quality of care and patient experience, in the United States as well as in Europe.
As highlighted by President Massimo Mangini, “the objective has been clear from the outset: to build an industrial presence in the United States capable of engaging with the local market and responding to its needs, while maintaining the distinctive values of the Italian model.”
During the inauguration, Hon. Erica Mazzetti emphasized how the Italian model stands out for three fundamental elements: safety on construction sites, attention to accessibility of spaces, and a more structured vision of environmental sustainability. These principles go beyond regulatory frameworks and represent an evolved approach to building, where the quality of spaces directly impacts people’s well-being.
The opening of the new showroom is part of a broader framework of strengthening industrial relations between Italy and the United States, confirming the role of Italian industry in defining new standards for the infrastructures of the future.
In this perspective, the Mangini showroom in New York is positioned not only as an exhibition space, but as a platform for dialogue between industry, design, and institutions, with the aim of promoting innovative and sustainable models in strategic sectors, starting with healthcare.
With this initiative, Mangini Group reinforces its commitment to contributing to the development of more efficient, sustainable, and people-centered environments, strengthening the industrial bridge between Italy and the United States.
