Chipolo Loop and Card: Fashion-Forward Bluetooth Trackers by BLOND

Finding your keys shouldn’t feel like a treasure hunt, and thankfully, Chipolo gets it. The Slovenian brand, born from a group of friends tired of losing their belongings, has been creating colorful item finders since 2013. Their latest collaboration with London design studio BLOND has completely transformed their approach to tracker design.

After teaming up with BLOND in 2022, Chipolo reimagined its flagship Loop and Card trackers, moving beyond simple tech gadgets into genuine lifestyle accessories. The redesign addresses real user frustrations while creating products that people actually want to carry around. This shift represents a significant evolution in how we think about everyday tech.

Designer: BLOND for Chipolo

The redesign wasn’t just about making things prettier. Chipolo’s users had been vocal about specific pain points: buttons that felt cheap and inconspicuous, keyring attachments that were clunky to use, and an overall appearance that screamed budget tech. BLOND took these concerns seriously, conducting extensive market research to understand exactly what needed fixing.

BLOND’s approach was methodical and user-focused. They analyzed both the internal technology and external structure of existing products, then mapped out opportunity areas for creative repositioning. The design team wanted to create something that would sit comfortably at the intersection of technology and fashion, appealing to style-conscious consumers.

The new Chipolo Loop showcases this philosophy beautifully. Its silicone ring pairs with an ultrasonically welded ABS casing made from 50% post-consumer recycled plastic, finished with a sophisticated matte texture. Six curated colors balance sophistication with playful personality, making each tracker feel more like a carefully chosen accessory.

The real genius lies in the redesigned button, now activated by a gentle squeeze between thumb and forefinger. This interaction feels natural and satisfying, while the raised logo adds subtle branding without shouting for attention. The internal layout has been optimized to firmly secure the silicon strap within the housing.

The Card follows the same design language but adapts cleverly to its wallet-dwelling lifestyle. Its matte finish maximizes friction to prevent sliding around, while a glossy circular button and logo provide tactile contrast for easy identification. The thickness has been optimized to slip seamlessly between credit cards without adding bulk.

Both devices pack impressive technical upgrades that justify their premium positioning. The Loop charges via USB-C while the Card supports Qi wireless charging, both lasting around six months per charge. IP67 water and dust resistance means they’ll survive daily abuse without missing a beat.

Performance specs are equally impressive. The loud alerts reach up to 125dB on the Loop and 110dB on the Card, ensuring you’ll actually hear them when needed. An extended Bluetooth range of 120 meters and compatibility with both Apple Find My and Android Find Hub ensure universal usability across different ecosystems.

Sustainability wasn’t an afterthought either. Beyond the recycled plastic construction, both trackers represent a shift toward longer-lasting, rechargeable alternatives to disposable battery-powered competitors. This aligns perfectly with contemporary design values that prioritize environmental responsibility alongside aesthetic appeal and functional performance.

The collaboration has successfully repositioned Chipolo’s products as lifestyle-led, rational, and refined devices. They’ve managed to bridge the gap between consumer electronics and fashion-forward accessories, proving that everyday tech can be both functional and genuinely desirable when thoughtful design meets real user needs.
