As an avid coffee drinker whose resolution is to make more coffee at home, I want to have different options for my own, personal coffee nook. It’s a given to have a coffee maker, a French press, a pour over, and other tools of the trade. I do not yet have an espresso machine and so I settle for a capsule coffee machine. So when new “toys” show up, I’m always interested to see what else I can add to my collection.
VLND Studio has introduced an exciting new concept with the Coway Duo, a combination water purifier and capsule coffee machine designed to bring both convenience and style to modern kitchens. While the Duo remains a concept at this time, its innovative features and elegant design are already turning heads among appliance enthusiasts and design lovers alike.

The Duo concept is thoughtfully divided into two distinct sections. The left side of the machine features a sleek silver finish and dispenses purified water. What makes it stand out is the ease with which users can adjust both the temperature and volume of the water, allowing for a customized experience whether you need hot water for tea or a refreshing glass of cool water. On the right side, finished in a sophisticated brown tone, the machine brews capsule coffee. With this dual functionality, users can enjoy coffee made from water that is free from limescale and impurities, ensuring each cup is as pure and flavorful as possible.
The design pays special attention to intuitive usability. The coffee capsule is inserted through the upper right cover, and the coffee extraction unit can be easily moved up or down to accommodate different cup sizes. The controls for both water and coffee are straightforward, making the Duo an easy addition to any household, regardless of tech-savviness. Attention to detail is evident throughout the concept. The rear of the unit features a maximized air vent area, promoting stable heat dissipation and extending the longevity of the machine. A neat grid design on the back not only serves a functional purpose but also complements the product’s overall aesthetic, adding to its sense of completeness.
The unique form and sophisticated color combination of the Duo concept elevate any kitchen’s visual appeal.
