Imagine if your favorite vinyl record was more than just a piece of music history. What if it could control the digital music on your computer, right from your turntable? The IDVS+ is turning this futuristic idea into reality, blending the classic feel of vinyl with the power of modern DJ software.
The IDVS+ is the world’s first Interactive Digital Vinyl System. Unlike a traditional turntable or controller, the IDVS+ is a high-tech vinyl record, designed to work with any DJ turntable you already own. Its 12-inch shape looks and feels like a classic record, but instead of grooves and a label, it features two ultra-thin, concentric touchscreens. These screens display waveforms, track information, album art, and other DJ tools, all while spinning on your turntable.

What makes the IDVS+ truly unique is how it connects analog movement to digital music. Inside the record are precision motion sensors that detect every spin, scratch, and movement. This data is sent wirelessly to your computer. When you move the IDVS+ on your turntable, you’re actually manipulating your music files in real time, just like using traditional digital vinyl systems (DVS) . This time though there are no needles, no timecode records, and no wires.
The touchscreens on the IDVS+ aren’t just for looks. They respond to touch, swipes, pressure, and gestures even while spinning. DJs can select tracks, set cue points, trigger effects, and adjust EQ directly on the surface of the record, making laptops and external controllers almost unnecessary. The interface cleverly stabilizes itself visually as the record spins, so the information stays readable and interactive.
A slim gap between the two display rings echoes the look of classic vinyl and acts as one of two Switch Areas, letting users toggle between touch and rotation modes. This means DJs can easily switch between browsing tracks and performing real-time effects, all from the spinning record itself. For music lovers and HiFi enthusiasts, the IDVS+ offers a way to bring digital audio into a beloved analog setup. You get all the flexibility of modern DJ software with the tactile satisfaction of handling real records. The system is completely wireless, and its patented technology is currently under development, promising to open up a new world for both professionals and hobbyists.
There’s also the IDVS PAD, a smaller, attachable version of the IDVS+ that can be used in combination with traditional vinyl and timecode setups. While not yet fully developed, the concept is already patented and hints at even more ways to bridge old-school vinyl with next-generation DJ control. The IDVS+ isn’t a new kind of turntable. It’s a new kind of record, one that brings the soul of vinyl and the power of digital music into perfect harmony, giving DJs and collectors a whole new reason to love their decks.
