Greg Mount is a painter and visual storyteller based in Melbourne, Australia, whose work mixes mid‑century nostalgia, road‑movie solitude and a touch of surreal humour.
He paints acrylic scenes of vintage cars, lonely highways, motels, suburban houses, diners and odd human–animal pairings, often at dusk or night, exploring themes of isolation, routine, and small moments of magic in otherwise ordinary lives—recently showcased in his solo exhibition A Lonesome Road at Outré Gallery. His images also appear as prints and in group shows (like “Gone Fishing” and “Locals”), where his clean compositions, moody skies and cinematic framing make each canvas feel like a still from an unknown film.
