UNOPIÙ’S COLLABORATIVE VISION FOR MILAN DESIGN WEEK 2026
For Milan Design Week 2026, Unopiù moves beyond the traditional furniture showcase to present The Collective. This collaborative project, titled Diario di Viaggio (Travel Diary), weaves together the expertise of six distinct designers into a unified aesthetic narrative. By integrating each individual creative language while honoring the brand’s established heritage, the work invites visitors to experience the outdoor realm as a curated, contemporary landscape.

SIX CREATIVE VOICES RE-ENVISION OUTDOOR LIVING
The project gathers an international group of designers including Federica Biasi, Gian Paolo Venier, Zaven, Andrea Steidl, and Keiji Takeuchi. Each was invited to develop independent collections that, while distinct in their design language, function as essential chapters of a common vision. Since 1978, Unopiù has maintained a mission to treat the outdoors with the same meticulous care typically reserved for interior design. By harmonizing these five unique perspectives, the brand reinforces its identity as a reference point for functional and elegant outdoor environments that are built to endure.

EXPLORING THE TRAVEL DIARY AT SALONE DEL MOBILE AND BEYOND
Within the narrative of Diario di Viaggio, materials like wood, rope, and specialized fabrics act as material postcards, documenting a shared journey across different design languages. This storytelling framework comes to life at the Salone del Mobile (Hall 24-Stand D32), where architect Calvi Brambilla and stylist Studio Salaris have envisioned a contemporary piazza. The stand is an open space where a modern boiserie gently guides visitors through a sequence of perspectives, allowing new products to take center stage with the brand’s recent best sellers.
A standout feature in this chapter is IGEA, a seating collection by Matteo Thun and Benedetto Fasciana. Inspired by the Italian garden and traditional wrought iron, the collection serves as an autonomous yet complementary addition to the brand’s evolving identity.

The journey continues into the heart of the city with the restyling of the historic Unopiù showroom at Via Pontaccio 9 in Brera. Designed by Milanese architect Diletta Stazzi, the space focuses on the emotional dimension of design. By reinterpreting classic Milanese architectural elements, such as a sequence of arches, the showroom creates a fluid, continuous environment that amplifies spatial perception. Here, the new collections are presented within a chromatic material palette that reflects the brand’s contemporary evolution, further reinforcing the idea of the outdoors as a true extra room to be experienced and lived.
