Seattle artist Mike Leavitt critiques consumerism and waste through *Trash Talking*, a sculpture series made entirely from salvaged materials like cardboard and discarded packaging.
His works—ranging from Skittles-wrapped handguns to Apple-branded rotary phones—are full-scale replicas that use no paint, relying solely on the original packaging’s graphics. Inspired by his environmentalist father, Leavitt channels his passion for recycling into art that’s both witty and provocative.
