Everyone is Using AI for Everything” nowadays, aka vibe living, and if you don’t, you’re a misfit outsider who should be punished in the town square to prevent contagion.

Design —comarts—seemed so much easier in the days when all technique was left to the individual—the head and hand. Today designers live in a world of strategy, data, experience, coding, etc. It is sobering to see what the commercial artist’s old toolkit or “language models” were like before the engineers and technologists (and linguists) got into the image-churning business.

Let’s return to 1946 when this booklet, and those others like it, were the primary manuals of the trade …
