In Artificial Intelligence news, Donald J. Trump has proven that tougher regulation of AI-generated imagery is necessary to avoid a repeat of this week’s hallucination and future fake news leaks.
Trump posted the below on Truth Social—a West Wing–generated meme depicting the president as a familiar-looking savior (famous for making the blind see and healing the ill). Famous for human compassion, yellow hair, an orange complexion and the mass deportation of men, women and children, he is comforting, larger than life and bathed in a divine glow as an American flag flies behind.
Speaking to reporters outside the Oval Office, Trump was adamant that it had nothing to do with Jesus Christ, despite the symbols it depicted.
“It was a joke,” he insisted with a straight face. “That’s not Jesus, I’m playing a doctor and helping the Red Cross.”
It quickly went viral, prompting harsh criticism and concern for the Savior’s—I mean Trump’s—sanity from MAGA and non-MAGA alike. Sensing something was amiss, the post was pulled down, but not before it was widely distributed throughout the world and predictably parodied by liberals, radicals and crime lovers.
The incident makes perfectly clear that the president of the United States should not have access to both the nuclear launch codes and AI software. The temptation is enormous and a disaster waiting to happen.
Note to DJT: To avoid confusion in the future, why not delegate one of the responsibilities to J.D. Vance? (Perhaps the nukes would be the safer bet.)
