Would the artist who anonymously donated considerable effort designing ersatz currency, pasted on a West 17th Street New York construction hoarding, please stand up and accept our gratitude for an ingenious act of public protest art?
The one-, two-, five- and 100-dollar notes feature clever barbs against President Trump’s executive overreach and the current MAGA agenda. The bills are deceivingly accurate until on closer scrutiny they reveal the unknown artist’s intentionally flawed handwork.
