wood, stone, and ceramic collectible objects compose rebirth paris exhibition

wood, stone, and ceramic shape ‘rebirth’ immersive exhibition

SM Bureau presents ‘Rebirth’ in Paris as a spatial composition of collectible design, where objects in wood, stone, and ceramic define the space they inhabit. The exhibition explores how material and light interact to construct atmosphere and perception. Rather than a conventional display, the project is conceived as a structured environment, where each piece operates as part of a larger spatial system. Furniture, sculptural objects, and wall works are positioned with attention to proportion, distance, and alignment, creating a quiet and immersive setting between gallery and interior. Material transformation lies at the core of the exhibition. stone is cut into planes that retain traces of extraction, wood reveals its natural growth and irregularities, while ceramic surfaces expand, crack, or crystallize through firing. These processes remain visible, allowing each object to carry the memory of its making.

sm bureau presents ‘Rebirth’ collectible design exhibition in Paris

Following its first presentation at Collectible Brussels, the Paris chapter of ‘Rebirth’ unfolds in a more restrained and architectural manner, where spatial relationships become central to the reading of the project. Through this approach, design studio SM Bureau proposes a view of collectible design not as isolated objects, but as a language capable of shaping space, atmosphere, and experience. Artists featured in the exhibition include: Adrian Salvador Candela, Aude Bray-Deperne, Cengiz Hartmann, Christina Schou Christensen, Daniëlle van Lunteren, Eduardo Nardi, Eichkorn, Frederic Imbert, Gabrielle Gobeaud Bianco, India Leire, Jamie Gaunt, Jessica Chetrit, Johanna Meyer, Jordi Iranzo, Kanewa, Laura Giudice, Morgane Pasqualini, Natura Ceramica, Pascale Zintzen, Philipp Moritz, Ptystavka, Sheyang Li, Studio Torbina, Thomas Junghans, Tina Marie Cph, Ulrike Zerzer.
